How to collect and prepare the grass
On the territory of our country, you can find sage of 2 species – cultivated or wild. If you are going to grow it yourself, then in the first two years after sowing you can collect only the lower leaves of 20 mm. The collection takes place in two stages. The first time – during the appearance of buds, in the first half of summer, and the second – when the fruit appears, in September.
Collect the grass into small bouquets and dry it in a dark, dry place, under a street shed or in a dryer. After drying, it is better to shred the leaves and put them in glass jars, canvas bags or cardboard boxes.
You can buy a finished product in pharmacies and cosmetic departments. Dry grass costs about 70 p. for 50 g., and oil -200 p. for 10 ml.
Sage is widely known for its properties and has found wide application in cosmetics. Having prepared a plant independently, you can be sure of its quality, ecological purity and boldly use it for its intended purpose.
